NAVASARTIAN GAMES
Code of Conduct

Welcome to the 32nd Annual Homenetmen Navasartian Games, July 4-7, 2024, hosted by the Providence chapter. Welcoming our guests also involves informing them of the obligations associated with staying at the Games hotel(s), athletic, and social facilities. We expect the very best behavior from those attending the annual Homenetmen Games as this is a family-oriented weekend.

To ensure a safe, respectable, and successful Games, the Homenetmen Eastern Region Inc. and the host chapter will enforce the following Code of Conduct and Policy. This policy will be in full effect upon arrival at the Navasartian Games and through departure. All athletes, including Homenetmen members and any guests, whether or not they are participating in any events, will be subject to this code of conduct.

All participants (athletes AND non-athletes) are expected to understand and follow the guidelines listed below, which will be monitored by the Navasartian Security Committee and the Hotel Security Personnel in place during the course of the weekend. Consequences for violating this code of conduct will be determined based on the severity of the infraction and may result in disqualification from participation in the games, fines to reimburse any damages, or expulsion from the event.

  • Vandalism or damaging hotel property, other private or public property of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • Destructive behavior of any sort will not be tolerated.

  • Excessive noise in individual guest rooms and common areas will not be tolerated.

  • Use of foul language, or language as determined by the Navasartian Games Steering Committee, Regional Athletic Committee, or the Regional Executive, to be inappropriate.

  • No outside alcohol will be permitted.

  • Individuals found in possession of or using illegal substances will not be tolerated and will be subject to expulsion from the games.

  • Any individual engaging in abusive or disruptive behavior towards others, including the Navasartian Security committee or hotel staff and security will not be tolerated and will be subject to expulsion from the games.

  • The Omni Providence Hotel is a smoke-free property. Smoking outside on the hotel grounds and adjacent areas, as well as inside, is strictly prohibited.

  • Any illegal activity as codified in Rhode Island’s criminal statutes will not be tolerated.

A non-deputized security force will be on hand throughout the event, including but not limited to all athletic functions, on all floors of the hotel and lobby area, and all social events. We have also communicated with the local police, who will be on call if a situation warrants.

Violation of these guidelines may result in removal from the hotel for the duration of the weekend. These and any other violations of local or state laws will be enforced by the Navasartian Security Committee and Hotel Personnel. Please note that the entire Omni Providence Hotel is equipped with live monitored security cameras to augment the visible security force. Omni Providence Hotel will also have its own security personnel during the duration of the event.
